Everything you need and nothing you don't
This module is for anyone who wants to gain a thorough understanding of or refresher in portrait painting through a demonstration.
Initially part of the complete Portrait Code masterclass, I’ve had requests to also make this and many of the other modules available as stand-alone spotlight courses. So, here you go.
- You’ll get a thorough demonstration
- See how I set up my palette and why each pigment I use in the demonstration was chosen.
- And get running notes as I paint, including explainer animations and a continual swatch palette of what pigments are on my brush.
- You’ll learn how to mix a variety of skin tone values and temperatures.
What I love about this demonstration course is that it’s efficient.
All of my courses have voice-overs, so that you are not watching me paint or do anything second by second with long periods of dead air. I don’t want you passing out from boredom while you wait for some kernel of information.
I don’t want you falling asleep and I don’t want you thinking your audio is broken if there’s a short silent patch, but I’m not going to put you through listening to muzak while you watch me paint.
So some of the demo is live time speed, and some segments are sped up enough to sync the video with the audio. You are going to see everything you need to see to learn how to paint a portrait.
This course is all value. It’s the course I wish I’d had in college.
I made this course because I couldn’t find it in one efficient and easy-to-understand course.
I made this course for you.
